Our story follows a week in the lives of DC who is being raised by his step father, Tunica who only has her grandmother and Will who is in Foster Care. Each of them is unique, special and gifted. The saying “It takes a whole Village to raise a Child” has significantly more meaning in this day and age. Children of GOD not only inspires our youth but challenges every adult to become involved in their development.

Ben Harney

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Ben Harney attended Laguardia High School for Music and Art and Juilliard. He began his Broadway and television career in 1971. Performance credits include: Purlie, Don’t Bother Me I Can’t Cope, Pajama Game (1974 revival), The Wiz, Treemonisha, Pippin, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Dreamgirls (Tony Award - Best Actor in a Musical, Drama Desk Award nomination for Best Actor), Tap Dance Kid (Bay Circle Critics Award for Best Supporting Actor, NAACP Image Award nomination), Brownstone, Williams and Walker (AUDELCO Award nomination for Best Actor) and District Attorney Peter Ramsey on ABC’s All My Children. His children’s video series, Ben & Eddie was released in1990.
He is Founder, Director of By All Means Save Some (BAMSS) Theatre Works, home of BAMSS Productions, BAMSS Youth Theatre Ensemble (BYTE), BAMSS Adult Repertory Company (BARC) and BAMSS Musical Theatre Workshops. BAMSS is a contracted vendor with the New York City Department of Education.
In addition to BAMSS Productions, Mr. Harney has directed and developed projects for Urban Stages, The Police Athletic League (PAL), Great Day Chorale, Johnson Products, Lincoln Center Festival ’99 and News Corp.
Mr. Harney has directed and taught as Artist-in-Residence at Fordham University Lincoln Center, NYC, Visiting-Assistant Professor at Medgar Evers College, Brooklyn, NY, Harvest School of Performing Arts, Los Angeles, CA, Director of the Drama Department. and special youth and adult productions at Christian Cultural Center, Brooklyn, NY.

Charles Bernard Murray 4th is also playing the role of Peter Wright. He started his career in New York City as a teenager working with the A.M.A.S. Repertory Company under Rosette LeNoire. He has performed in Off Broadway shows directed by Louis Johnson, Israel Hicks and Arthur Faria; made his Broadway debut in the Michael Bennett’s original company of Dreamgirls in 1981; he was also on Broadway in the musical Honky Tonk Nights.
CB is currently performing with 8 is Never Enough in the Off Broadway Hit Comedy
"LMAO" at the Times Square Arts Center. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, in films, on television, in videos and on stages around the world. Charles is an accomplished producer, singer, actor, director, choreographer, published composer and author.
CB served as Pastor @ Kingdom of God Ministires in Jersey City, sits on the Board of DREAM PAS, Jersey City's first Charter High School for the Performing Arts and his new book “Prosperity of the Soul: The Evolution of Man” is now available on amazon.com.

Charles Czarnecki

Charles Czarnecki is presently a conductor for the 2006 Tony-winning 'Best Musical', "Jersey Boys". His arrangements for "Tempest Toss'd" and "The Tempest" have played Off-Broadway at both The Manhattan Ensemble Theater and the Cherry Lane Theatre. Charles is a pianist, conductor, musical director, vocal coach, arranger/orchestrator, and music producer in New York City.
Czarnecki holds his Bachelor's degree from Purchase Conservatory of Music and his Master's from the Manhattan School of Music, both in Classical Piano Performance. He spent years studying and performing in classical music festivals, competitions, and different venues around the country and the world.
As a music producer he's produced albums ranging from concept albums for theater and animation, to rock, jazz, and world music.
His work in all these fields has cultivated his close, collaborative relationships with many local theater composers including David Christian Azarow, Neil Berg, Michael Holland, Doug Katsaros, Daniel Neiden, and Earl Wilson, Jr. His work consulting artists, workshopping new material, recording concept albums, music directing original productions, and arranging music has made a lasting impression on the upcoming generation of new theater in New York. Charles is also a performing artist and arranger for QRS Music Technologies.

Daryl Richardson

Ms. Daryl Richardson is a veteran dancer of stage, television and film. She has appeared on Broadway in the Wiz, Sophisticated Ladies, Can-Can and Anything Goes. Her film Credits include; A Chorus Line (The Movie), The Mask, What’s Love Got To Do With It, Junior, Hoodlum and Monster bash. Ms. Richardson has toured with known artists such as Baby face, Barry White and Earth, Wind & Fire. Her film television credits include; The Academy Awards, Essence Awards, Soul Train Awards, Emmy Awards, Cinderella, The Jamie Fox Show, The Drew Carey Show, Arsenio Hall and The MTV Awards. Ms. Richardson’s Choreography credits are the Stage Play “Women Thou Art loosed” Paula, Abdul’s Skat Kat Video where Ms. Richardson was a featured dancer and she was also the Assistant Choreographer for Michael Jackson’s “Bad” Video; A Native of Jamaica Queens Ms. Richardson brings her professionalism back into her community in order to tap into a child’s natural talents, gifts and abilities. She is the Director of the Dance Academy at the Allen Christian School where the Glory of God is seen through every genre of dance. Ms. Richardson is also the CEO of “Me Nobody Knows Inc" which is a non profit organization that targets youth byway of Arts, Education and Mentorship. Ms. Richardson believes in utilizing the entire physical, singing, dancing self of every child in order for a well balanced child to emerge. Ms. Richardson is the proud parent of her 13 year old daughter Trinity and she gives Honor to God for her life and desires for her life to give Glory to God!

Ashley Taylor (Deborah) is thrilled to be a part of Children of God. This is her second foray into New York theatre since moving in September. *Stephen Glavin
Stephen Glavin (Chazz) premiered on Broadway with a role in the 1986 Tony award winning musical "The Mystery of Edwin Drood". Steve was recently seen Off Broadway in the “Legends of Hip Hop” at the New Victory Theatre, which in fact he is, having been featured in the original Fresh Festival Tour starring Run, DMC, Kurtis Blow, the Fat Boys and Whoudini; back then Steve was known as “All American White Boy”. Steve won the "Swatchwatch World Break-dance Championship" at the Roxy NYC, 1984, is featured in Michael Jackson’s “BAD” video and multiple other music videos. You have probably seen Steve recently dancing on TV in the new Arthritis Foundation commercials. Steve owns and runs Vox Solutions, his own Internet Marketing, Meeting Planning and Development Company, and helps sponsor national Hip Hop and Break-dance championships around the country.

Paul Geiger’s (Harold) Off-Broadway appearances include The Talk (David Marshall) and The Funeral Director’s Wife (Joseph Cease). Paul's favorite regional roles include The Robber Bridegroom (Jamie Lockhart), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Joseph) and Jesus Christ Superstar (Judas). NY Workshops: Warsaw (Samuel), Rip Van Winkle (Tom Gardenier), The Good of the Tribe (The Manager) and Lord Tom (Augustine St Clare). TV credits include Craig Daniels on The Guiding Light, One Life To Live, All My Children and Sportskabob.

Starlett Brown (Mother Harris) with a unique name like Starlett, this woman is truly a “star” in the making. An avid songwriter, arranger, actress, and with her indefinable, controlled vocals Starlett has the creative components to produce a stellar performance. One of the most authentic voices imagined for over 23 years, Starlett Brown generates energy and excitement everywhere she appears. Filled with a full rhythm section in her heart, she delivers quality performances that have her audience captivated by the life she brings to her characters. Her face, her voice, her passion for acting, and the ability to work well with others will take her far and beyond.
